Planning a trip over the weekend to Italy I checked if I had some old maps of Italy or Milan. There was no map or tourist books on Italy in my library but numerous maps and books on Germany and neighbouring countries. I haven’t looked at those maps in years and I guess they are old outdated. Now I just use Google maps for everything. Still it is nice to look at a map even if it is just for a still life photograph, here with my summer hat from Mühlbauer (fantastic Austrian hat maker) and my Ray Ban sunglasses, which I use every day, even in the winter.

After photographing the "in" flower I had to photograph some tulips. They look so simple but if you look inside they are so delicate, just like the "in" flower. I like tulips a lot because they are so colorful. These are the only flowers I would and do often buy for myself. This is not the first tulip PAD but this one just had to be here since I had a beautiful bouquet of purple tulips – this time as gift from friends.

I don’t know the name of this flower but it is very popular at hotels and restaurants. Twice I have gotten this flower as a present and in both cases it didn’t survive for long. So I wonder why would hotels and restaurants have such a delicate flower. Because it is "in"? Hmmm…. I would also be happy with tulips

Today there was an old timer race in our neighbouring village – GP Mutschellen. For old timer fans in Switzerland this is one of their highlights and that can be easily understood if you go their and see all these old and beautiful cars.
